    building my own enclosure

Recently, I have been thinking about building my girl an enclosure so that I can build it the way i want it. I want it to be about 4 foot long by 1.5/2 foot tall and about the same width. I was planning on using Plexiglas. How hard do you think it would be to build this in a weekend? After that I would slowly add all the things I will require like a thermostat, rheostat, timer, heater, lamps, etc etc etc...and etc. Right now, she's fine in her ten gallon, but I'm bored with it and would like to experiment with my creative side. Would it be practical to try this or just a total waste of money? The basic inside decorating scheme would be do-able in just about any enclosure- given the right area exists.
