Hi there
The question was triggered by this video, please watch, its under 2 minutes.
Brian Gundy Shares Reduced Pattern Striped Gold Blush Mystic
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V_JLMRIqjho
In the video description he says " It will be interesting to see what the gold blush mystic potions from this guy will look like."
Now something doesnt make sense here. If the snake he shows is a goldblush mojave + mystic BP, with two genes, then it should already be a goldblush mystic potion.
Also, if the gene really has anything to do with the regular mojave gene, it should be part of the BEL gene complex. And then a "goldblush mojave + mojave + mystic" ball python would be impossible to produce, you can have 2 of these genes maximum.
Also, why doesnt his snake look much more like a mystic potion? if goldblush mojave is a variety of mojave, it should look more like mystic potion.
So, what is it? Whats the solution to the contradiction? Maybe goldblush mojave is a different gene entirely and not part of the BEL complex, and just has an unfortunate name and should be simply called "Goldblush"? Or did Brian Gundy just make a mistake in the video description?
Unfortunately, WOBP doesnt have much about the gene at all, i could only find pictures of "coral glow goldblush mojave" and "goldblush mojave GHI", and these dont really help.
