    Breeder rats/Holdbacks/Cool looking rats

I wasn't sure what to put as the title. These are our breeders whom I've messed with the genetics. Some have names, most don't. But if they really stick in my head, they have a name. Bear with the pictures, they were a last minute impulsive decision made in the rat shed.

    Orange hood

    Bright Orange Dumbo

    Solid Blue

This girl is really neat! She isn't a blue, but she isn't a brown. She's a mix between! I love how she looks!

My Paradox rat, hard to get a pic of her, she wouldn't stay still.

    Blurry frontal view.

This is one of the high white sides I've been messing with. It started with black, now I have cream, and brown also.

Black high white, with her babies.

This little guy is a first and a hold back. Super cute!

This is Splinter! He is the biggest, and ugliest rat we have. He got his name because I seriously think he looks like a sewer rat lol!

    My hand for comparison!

    Blue Hooded Dumbo

Siamese, couldn't get a good pic of her.

This is Ghost, I call her a Hypo. If you look closely, she has a very dull pattern. I produced a few more that look like her too.

    My Pregger Orange Dumbo

    Wide Striped Cream Dumbo

And one of my favorite sweethearts. Brown Dumbo.

So that's it. I have noticed that blues seem to handle pregnancy the hardest. Not sure if it has to do with the genetics with them being blue. I haven't really looked into it. But we've lost quite a few blue girls after giving birth or a few months later. If anyone has any insight to it, I've love to hear it.

    Thanks for looking.

    -Kristen
