    When i used a tank i had clear plastic wrap over the towel and had enough so it would stick to the glass for max coverage.
    Soak that towel and wring it enough to where it is heavy but not dripping.
    As was said about rust...it will happen, if you are able to pick up another top and clear coat it with rustolium you can avoid it. Though if you take that route make sure you leave it outside to dry (i left mine out for 2 weeks then washed it) gotta ensure no chemical smell or anything of that sort.

    The house humidity was like in the low 20's
    I kept my humidity at 65 in the cold upstate ny 80 yearold home in a 18x18x28 tall tank that was meant for lizards
