I've decided that I'm going to get some crested geckos -- not sure on time table, but more than likely a few months down the road. Anyway, I've been looking at reptariums, cage plans, etc., and a lot of them use pvc or similar pipes.
It occurred to me that, living where I do, there's a lot of bamboo growing around here (yep, more growing in GA than anywhere else in the US -- don't ask me why), and I wondered if there were any health reasons not to use bamboo in cage building? Obviously I'd need to make sure it was bug-free before using it as a cage, but are there any other drawbacks that you know of?
