So I have just switched over to a closed rack system. I only have one ball python now and a second on the way. (Third will be this summer hopefully ) I have a couple minor questions for this setup that is new to me.

1) for those of you who use rack, do you use a hygrometer in every tub? I use a temp gun and check it against a cout of probe thermometers every so often to make sure it's accurate. I see very few hygrometers available, and I use one right now which seems to be accurate enough. Perfect sheds every time. Btw I live in Nothern Ontario Canada. I found some Springfield ones for $3 and felt they were probably a out as good as the useless reptile ones. What do you guys do?

2) This one is shorter. Should I most the tub sides or the aspen substrate or both? I used those cypress and just moistened the substrate and that worked perfectly. Aspen seems to keep the humidity at a more acceptable level and will save me a ton of money here.
