5-day car trip
I just read the other thread regarding the 2-day drive, and I'm about to make the 4-day (maybe 5) drive from Massachusetts to San Diego on Saturday with all 6 of my BPs. Since this is a much longer trip, I wanted to post a new thread and didn't want to take over the other!
I've done this once (coming to MA) with only one guy, Zuma, and that was a piece of cake - I just kept him in a travel container on the passenger's lap the whole time. With 6, I'm a little more nervous. I'm doing the same with Zuma since he's in a glass tank normally. But the others are all in 16-qt tubs. I was just going to keep them in their tubs cause I feel like that would be less disturbing than going in and out of bags and tubs every time we stop for the night.
They all have tight hides and would have all-day access to water. Of course, keeping them in the car in bags would solve a lot of space issues since my car will be packed with my other belongings and would make sneaking them into hotels much easier, but I just feel like the in-and-out every night for so many nights would be even more stressful than just leaving them in their normal "homes" that they're used to.
Any thoughts for the lengthy trip?? If they stay in their tubs, they'd be completely secure with no movement (aside from, I suppose, the potential for sliding around on their paper towels - this is one of my concerns).
