    I've read so many horror stories about online transactions/people having their work stolen. I think I'll just stick to things in person.

    With the right tools it's really easy to track someone down even if they are using a proxy. The alternative a lot of sites use is to just not allow proxies. No real reason to be using it unless you're up to no good.
