    Always a great snake.

We got our Royal last year for my son's B-day. Hunter is a great little normal female. I think she's a bit over 3' long and about 650 grams. She hasn't eaten since X-mas eve and of course it drives me nuts to keep tossing rats, but she is still looking good.

I've been a trader and have become fully into boas and just got MY new fella. They are totally different, but today I went into my son's room and took out the Royal and just hung out. So calm, so sweet and just nice and thick. I'm thankful to have one of each species of snake.

I will ask at what point people consider "too long" with no food? Its frustrating, because I just want her to be healthy. We are finally coming into decent weather in Minneapolis so maybe she's fire up soon. I tossed another rat today however.

So, while some may think I've gone to the dark side, really I have not. I've learned to appreciate both species of snake a little more because I have 1 of each.

I've been laid up at the house, and will be for a while and it was really nice to have Hunter just chill out and rest on my chest.

She was the "gateway snake" for us and I just wanted to give her some props today. : )
