I understand, I just worry that receiving a bunch of negative messages would do more harm than good. There are other options available that haven't been fully explored yet. Now that the ad is public, anyone can contact this girl and do any amount of harm or good. From a personal standpoint, once the ad is posted I have no control over who contacts her or what they say. I prefer to approach these matter delicately unless there is no other option. I now have very little control over what happens.
I do somewhat resent the implication that I'm sitting back and doing nothing, though. As I said, posting the ad was just one option available.
