Hello guys and gals. Just thought I would introduce my self. My name is Ernie, but most people just call Ern. I have had my fair share of fish, anoles, and salamanders when I was a kid. About a year agowhile I was getting my A.A.S degree in natural resources law enforcement, I had to take a herps class, which included a research paper on a herp of choice. I did my on Ophiophagus hannah (king cobra). A friend of mine in the class did theirs on the ball python, and when we had to give our presentation to the class, brought their python in to class and my interest was sparked.

Fast forward to the present. I am done with school and am thinking of expanding my collection of reptiles. I have several bearded dragons and and am thinking a ball will be next. Now I have been doing my research on them, but still have some questions I haven't found a clear answer for. I am planning on building some malmaine cages for a couple beardies that are going to be out growing them soon. Now can if I picked up an extra sheet or two and made one more would that be ok for an adult ball if the dimensions are 4' long x 2' wide x 2' tall or would that be to big?

Now on to my next question. I have a friend who raises several different breeds of rabbits for show as well as meat rabbits, now I realize I can feed a ball a small rabbit assuming its appropriately sized for the ball. Now I have spoke to him about getting a couple from him out of each litter and have an agreement should I get a ball. He did ask me a question though that I could not answer, could they be fed a rabbit that was still born or died of natural causes shortly after birth?

I will stop here for now, so you guys and gals dont have to read an entire book.

Thanks

Ern
