Rosy boa feeding arboreal style (pictures)

    I couldn't believe this!

Tonight was feeding night. It is not unusual for one of my rosy boas, Char, to be on his branch in anticipation of food coming. Usually he gets down before taking food though. This time, wasn't going to happen. I expected him to fall off as he grabbed and coiled the food, but nope! He hung on with just the tip of his tail. He was not even wrapped around the top of the branch, his tail was coiled around a knob on the bottom of the branch. He started feeding that way too, but eventually fell off to finish his meal.

The strength of these animals is nothing short of amazing!!!

Why keep a snake? Why keep any animal? Because you enjoy the animal, find something beautiful and fascinating about it, and it fits seamlessly into your lifestyle.
