I'll start by saying first I have no intention of becoming a serious breeder or trying to make a living off of my snakes.
They are interesting pets and a hobby for me. If I can produce a few decent snakes and cut down some of the cost of my hobby that is a bonus.
What I don't want is to produce snakes that are hard to sell and get stuck keeping many more snakes than I am ready for long term.
So, I would love input from members on just how interested you would be in the potential offspring.
I currently have a 1.0 orange ghost to be bred to a 0.1 yellowbelly when their weights are up.
I was thinking of purchasing a desert het hypo and a desert spider 50% het hypo or two from a high-end breeder to pair with any resulting female yellowbelly 100% het hypo's.
(If I hit the jackpot and produce a male desert spider ghost yellowbelly that won't be for sale unless there is more than one).
So, from experienced breeders/sellers I have to ask, would this be even a half way smart plan or will I have 30-40 pets when I originally expected no more than a dozen?
