    Just goes to show..

I had a dial hygrometer/thermometer that came with the tank set I bought. I know those are notorious for being inaccurate but I hadn't gone out to buy a digital one yet till today. (I have a temp gun and was tracking ambient through a trip I had). I didn't realize it doesn't come with a suction cup and instead has a magnet on the back. I don't have a magnet strong enough to hold it up through the glass so I'm going to go buy a big industrial one and tape it outside the tank so the acurite hovers in the middle of the tank.

So the dial hygrometer only ever showed it being at 50% after lots of spraying of the Eco Earth and rested at 40% normally. I placed the acurite in there for a few minutes and it reads at 77% after the daily misting. Here I was stressing about humidity when I had it plenty high for his upcoming shed. Just goes to show dials are utter junk.

Oh and I bought two reptile basic hides so hopefully Allure likes those better than his current ones. His current ones he only uses for digestion. I think because I couldn't find a tub small enough that was shallow enough for him. So his current ones are shallow but a bit too roomy around his sides.
