    Be Careful of These tongs

I picked up these neat looking tongs at the White Plains Expo in November.

Little was I aware of how EASILY they get stuck in reptiles teeth. I got it for my bearded dragon who was an aggressive eater and always bit down on the metal of the plain tongs, so I saw these and figured they would hurt her less. I was wrong, her teeth ended up getting stuck in them pretty bad, she did a few death roles and freed herself, the plastic on the tongs was all ripped up and cut.

I decided I would only use it on my snakes since they don't normally hit the tongs, well again I was wrong. Feeding my baby albino girl she latched onto the tongs and yet again, got her teeth stuck in the plastic really well too. She refused to let go of it, I waited awhile to see if she would spit it out but she couldn't and tried swallowing it, after working with it carefully and restraining her some (lucky she's only a 100g baby) I got it free from her.

I just resorted to taking a razor blade to the rubber/plastic and peeling it off.

Just wanted to give everyone a heads up, my guys seem to be okay and don't think any teeth were lost.
