    Glad you called a vet. I doubt it'll go away on it's own though. Don't mean to be negative - and I actually hope it will go away, but abscesses generally need an antibiotic to heal. Reptiles capsulize infection so an abscess can linger for a looong time before presenting other problems, but likewise, it won't go away readily on it's own either as the infection will remain enclosed and not break out as it would in a mammal.
