Hello, I've been experimenting on substrates for my ball pythons. I do like the paper towel (humidity wise) but I don't like the fact that if my python defecates, the whole bottom of the tub will be soaked in urine. So I tried sanichips which seem to work well but they get everywhere so I thought I'd try cypress bark. I really like the cypress bark BUT it raises my humidity level to 80-82% which is too high. I tried drilling bigger holes and that doesn't seem to have any effect.

I could try drilling more holes or just give up and go back to sanichips. Any thoughts? To clarify, I am using a rack system. Thanks in advance.
