Do you think eggs in a large clump will pip quicker than a single egg?
I ask because I've got a clutch in the incubator right now. The clutch was 7 eggs, but 1 went bad in the first week.
There are 4 eggs in one box, and 2 eggs in another box. They're on the same shelf of the same incubator, and the 4 eggs all seem to be dimpling a little bit. They are on day 30, so I'm not really worried that they are dimpling early or anything like that.
However the other 2 eggs are still firm and plump. Do you think this is due to the 4 eggs generating more of their own heat? Do you think this would result in earlier pippers?
Thoughts? Not looking for an answer here or anything, just kinda wanting to know if you guys think it's a possibility.
