Snakes dont smell or make noise so theyre very easy to keep concealed. Obnoxious upstairs neighbors are probably not as annoying as parents fighting. Im not sure what facilities youre talking about? Ive never had an apartment so im not sure what youre referring to. If something was broke in my apartment then the landlord wouldnt get the rent check until it was fixed. There are alot of laws to protect tenants so i wouldnt have a problem doing this. Idk, like i said ive never had an apt, but it seems like itd be the better option given the situation.
I think she was referring to laundry on the complex or something similar. My gf refuses to live in an apartment for the fact that most don't let you paint or hang pictures because of nail holes. They charge extra fees for small animals (I have both a cat and dog that WILL come with us), and even though we are living alone its not like living alone. I've been to my share of apartments in which the walls were paper thin and I could hear whole conversations in the apartment right next to the one I was in. There are the night owls too whole make obnoxious noises and bang around at 2am. Sure I will be at work for the most part at 2am, but when I'm not and trying to sleep its just not going to work.

We will see what happens.
