I brought home a new BST python on Saturday, and she's currently in a different room doing quarantine. I noticed yesterday that she was rubbing her eyes and nose all over her body and the glass, but she stopped after a while so I just wrote it off.
Today after I was done feeding my 5 year old male BP he also started rubbing his face on his water dish and hides. Like hard. I haven't broken quarantine, but I really think these occurrences must be related. Someone else must have broken quarantine when I wasn't around.
I haven't noticed any wheezing coming from either snakes, but the BST has been breathing a bit heavier than I would like. I'll be keeping an eye on both of them just incase it ends up being a RI.
What else should I look for? Neither have been soaking in their dishes, but could mites be a possibility? Any input is appreciated, thanks.
