    A Good Starter?

So, I am thinking about dabbling in breeding in the future. I am talking years from now, right now I don't have the means, I know that I am not going to push it, so don't blast me. I want to get into it to learn and better understand the animals, even now I am not intensely interested in money (if I can make some then more power to me, but I will enjoy it as a hobby rather than a money making machine) I was just curious what kinds of pairings people started off with, something that COULD make money, but like I said, I don't really stress about that. I just want to know what I could start off with. This won't be for a while, part of it is going to be having more space (which is my first step) after that I am going to figure everything out, but I want an opinion on what I could do to kick start in oh... 3-4 years, maybe 5. Thanks in advance!
