Well, actually my wife found it I guess.

We were at the Hatteras lighthouse and found some trails behind it. They went around some wetlands so we poked around a bit and found this guy. Pretty sure he is an eastern water moccasin. We were pretty excited. I was hoping he would show us his cotton-mouth but he didn't even react other than a tongue flick when I pushed the brush away to take a picture. He was a beautiful orange, I can't even find any pictures of one this color.
