White Plains Reptile Expo 09/09/2012 Impresions

everyone with was there feel free to chip in post your photos and comments....

I really tried get there early but want not always means get and that was a case this time with me...

Got out 11.19 from train on White Plains Station abd around 11.30 i was there and....

OMG Hour and half since door open and line is HUUUGe... Honestly wasn't expecting this especially that we had first Sunday of football season and not like this was just before door open..

Fortunately line was moving Quick and 10 minutes earlier i was inside.

As expected amount of people inside was equal to line ouside... for sure that was busy show for vendors.

Unexpected was that there was nothing really jaw dropping from Big Vendors.

Without Brian and His celebrity persona BHB table was little slower that usually. Lori was in charge and for a first time I had occasion to meet Brian daughter and Chevy!!!

Yes!! Snakebyte bite tester was present in flesh on the show.

Seems like more and more small local vendors coming to this show and this time actually Expo was extended for another side room to make place for everyone.

Browsing thru tables I landed on Book Guy Table and after short handle "Complete Carpet Python" was mine. I pass by RBI table say Hi to Rich and go up top to Outback Reptiles.

Unfortunately like never.... this time their table was really disappointing... Just few Animals.. look like they section was smaller that usually and nothing really catch my eye...

I go down have short Chit Chat with Mike Curtin from shatter Exotic about his new IJ Stripe project with by the way should be featured in next "Reptile" magazine.

He point me to another vendor "Viking Reptilia" where i droled over fer really nice Granite IJ... i think I'm catching Carpet Python bug

I grab couple exo terra hides and new water bowl...Then was a Time for a main dish:

In Side room for a first time from long time NERD with Kevin McCurley himself had table with awesome animals.

I stole him for a few second. He confirmed that second edition "Complete Ball Python" should be ready at beginning of the next year. Book should be some over 500 pages with a loooooooot of new morphs.. not only Nerd stuff but all over...

Biggest Issue Kevin have with new book is photo data base... some people for sure have talent for creating new morph but with camera skills... that different story

    And like he said:

i don't want put only my stuff inside the book
Of course knowing that he gonna be on the show my worn old firts reptile book ever was with me and now with pride i can announce that I'm an owner of signed copy

Drolling all over Nerd show cases one particular animal draw my attention.. ( OK I'm lying way more but I was kind on the rush ) and Kevin was so nice to spill some beans about this project.

This Animal is called Darth Fader:

Is obviously (super??)Pastel Fader/YB???/ morph with is called "Lucifer"

Asked about "Lucifer" stuff Kevin described it as:
Think about it like about extreme "Fire"
Is a co-Dom mutation He dont produced super form yet.

He Hadn't "just Lucifer" on the table but few combos he show me speak for itself:

    Darth Fader

    Pastel/YB/Lucifer

    Lucifer/YB

    Lucifer/Enchi

    Lucifer/Enchi/YB

and last but for sure not least:

    Spider/Pastel/YB/Lucifer

I'm not big fan of Spider gene.. I'm Pinstripe guy but THIS ^^^ Is JUST AWESOME.

That combo look almost like reduced lesserbee with extreme high white sides....

Thing what impressed me most is Kevin know exactly what is in every mufti gene animal...

Years of Practice make a master on in this case "Evil Morph God"

I show him pictures of my YB and My Granite and....... with word of advise... i keeping both for a while and gonna give them a breeding shot this winter.

Of course Picture with HIM was a must:

And then I need rush home because of extra day at work feeding day was postponed couple days and i couldn't Keep My babies hungry any longer... so headed back to the City....

    So what about You guys???

How you liked This Sunday White Plains Reptile Expo ???
