Hey guys. Yes, I just bought my baby albino striped California kingsnake on Monday. Yes he escaped on Wednesday. I found him after searching for two hours. And yes, he escaped some time last night or today and after six hours of searching, no luck. I don't think he can get out of my room as I'm downstairs in my own area. But its a big room. I tore the place apart entirely. I emptied my closet and my dresser, checked every single article of clothing twice, and then moved them upstairs. Believe me, I looked absolutely everywhere.
Trying to be more passive, I put his cage on the floor with easy access and turned my AC up to try to cool him out and back to his heat pad. I have hamsters, so I immediately moved them out of the room and put them somewhere safe. I have a small travel cage for them which I let them sit in for about ten minutes. I thawed a pinkie out and put it in the cage (it has bars with small spaces between them) in the hope he'll crawl in for a meal and be too fat to crawl back out for a couple hours. He hasn't eaten since last Sunday so I'm hoping he'll be getting hungry soon.
Is there anything else I can do? I've heard about setting flour along doorways to see where they go, but I'm almost 100% sure he's confined to just my bedroom. As of right now, I've left the room dark, cold, and alone for two hours. Please help me! I've already grown attached and miss him.
