So a friend of ours asked us to hold his snakes for him due to some personal issues. Among them were 2 corns. They were housed together but said they were both girls. (He had roughly 80 corns prior so he knew what he was talking about I assumed). Nonetheless we found 2 eggs in their enclosure yesterday. One was sunk in already but the second looked like a nice plump egg. We attempted to feel each snake for more eggs but with no luck in feeling any.
Yet again this evening we found another egg. Both snakes are quite cranky and attempt to strike you when you open the door to the enclosure. Anyways, is it possible they are simply dropping eggs that may be slugs even tho they are nice and plump and whiteish?
Would it be to late to put in a laying box? Is it normal that they, whom ever is laying them is doing so like days apart?
Side Note: I have no idea if they were exposed to a male at any point in time... and our 'friend' is quit difficult to reach now so he's no help.
