I promised myself I'd never purposely buy a normal bp... Well, went to Petco tonight to get my tortoise. As usual, look in the bp cage and there is a rather bright hatchling in there. Talked to the guys and they tell me they had in a pastel (according to the guy who bought it earlier anyways) with the same group. I popped the bright one and it's a girl. She also has a very weird pattern (no bullseyes and most of her patches looked like irregular puzzle pieces) and I'm kicking myself for not taking photos. She had very bright yellow color and decent flames though her back blushing was low. I checked her eyes and she's definitely not a pastel but the weird pattern and bright coloration along with her being a girl, I'm sorely tempted to pick her up. This is one of 2 Petco's I'd even consider buying a snake from (we did a snake popping lesson tonight with the animal manager and the two reptile guys) but I'm not sure if she's worth the $40... If I hadn't been getting the tortoise, she would have come home... Does anyone else think that sounds worth playing with? She'd be going to my pastave boy so the worst that would happen would be more normals. I also want to know what's with these snakes that makes them so darn addictive!
