Hey Guys!

After a month or so of lurking, and actually logging in on my profile, I decided to actually post officially stating my return. While most of you probably have no memory of me, I just wanted to recall a bit of my history with the forum and my snake-keeping experience. I happened to a bit brash and overconfident the last time I was on the forum, and I am quite embarassed by some of my posts, , but hopefully this time around I can convey a bit more of my acquired maturity.

Back in 2009, I decided to get a Ball Python and ended up purchasing one from a Reptile Show. He happened to be CH which led to some complications, both initially and later on in his short life. He died from a Respiratory Infection (according to the Vet's best guess) when he was only about 7 months old. That sort of turned me off from the Herp Hobby as I greatly blamed myself for the loss.

However, recently, while discussing pets with a friend, I had started to think about getting a ball python. After some careful thought I decided to start looking for one. However, this time I will be much more diligent and careful with my husbrandry. I have more time, energy, and resources now-a-days and I feel I can do a better job at keeping a snake. I'm excited and looking forward to getting back into the hobby as I have always loved reptiles.

Currently I am making sure all my electronic things still operate (e.g. my UTH and Thermometer/Hygrometer, etc) and replacing anything that is less than satisfactory; also getting items like a proper thermostat this time around (not just a lamp dimmer) and the like.

No python as of yet, but hopefully I will find exactly who I am looking for in the following month or so.

Sorry for the rambling, but just want to properly reintroduce my self on the forums, since I am very excited to get back into the hobby!
