    Attaching thermostat probe

Where is the best place to attach the probe for the thermostat? I'm thinking outside of the enclosure directly on the bottom of the heat pad.. but I'm not sure what to use to attach it. Tape wouldn't be a good idea. A hot glue gun might make the probe inaccurate.. and if I ever needed to upgrade the size of the heat pad it would be hard to change.

Does anyone put the probe on the inside the enclosure? Where you put the probe for the digital thermometer?

Actually would tape be okay if its on the outside of the enclosure, like a masking tape perhaps?
