Hello, my name is Krissy. I have been keeping ball pythons for 5 months now. I have two males, a pastel male (Zaphod, the larger of the two) and Axel, a 66% poss het clown male. When I got Axel, his left eye looked kind of funny. The pet store employee (the specialize in reptiles, and several of their employees keep reptiles themselves, and one employee is a good friend of mine) told me it was nothing to worry about. Well when I looked closer at it, it kind of looked like a mucous membrane prolapse or even retained eye caps, or like someone had tried to get off retained eye caps that weren't there. I was wondering if anyone could help me? He eats fine and sheds wonderfully, he weighed in today at 292 g at 2.25 feet.
A month after I got him:
Now:
***PLEASE NOTE: I HAVE NOT TOUCHED HIS EYE WITH ANYTHING AND I HAVE BEEN ASKING AROUND TRYING TO FIND OUT WHAT IT IS. IF A VET VISIT IS IN ORDER, I WILL TAKE HIM TO THE VET***
Everyone has told me that it is nothing to worry about, and I just want more opinions. Thank you in advanced for any help you can provide![]()
