After getting Ozzy and Norma through theirs successfully back in February, now Agnes is drooling and yawning.
I just gave her her first shot.
Iggy, who's had no contact with the original Plague Python yawned the other night after I'd been cuddling with her and I saw a single, thin string of saliva when she did.
Now I'm worried about her, too, even though she acts fine, has been eating well and happily plays on her fake tree late at night.
That string of slobber scares me.
Should I consider it a very early sign of an impending RI and start dosing her, too?
Agnes is at the stage where it takes stress to make her produce mucus and nose bubbles.
[I cleaned her tub tonight and she was really annoyed by that, as usual so I had her on my lap and she started trying to zip to the floor and that's when I noticed the beginning of the slobber, bubbles and rumble in her lungs]
I've bumped their temps up 2 degrees and am waiting for food to thaw to see if Iggy will eat tonight.
She's at the point [almost 900 grams] where she no longer feels like eating every 7 days, usually preferring 9 or 10.
I'm also wondering if a 'hidden' RI could be the cause of the Fire's 90 day fast.
He's not losing weight but has absolutely no interest in food.
I haven't seen him yawning, drooling, propping his head up, etc and he does not do so when out playing.
[99% of his time is spent in his hides, doing nothing]
It's looking like every snake is going to end up with this crud, eventually.
The first two went symptomatic within days of each other but it's been well over 4 months since those did and now Agnes is sick.
I am so depressed.
I'd just finally stopped obsessively worrying.
Our weather and the room temps because of it have been going crazy.
I'm constantly fiddling with the thermostats to keep the parameters where they belong.
This is so discouraging and nerve-wracking.
