Been gone for awhile, Need some help with a Mexican Redknee enclosure........
Got bored over the past couple weeks and had an abundant supply of lumber sitting around going to waste so I decided to build an enlcosure for a mexican redknee (I didnt get it yet, I wanted to set up an enclosure first) Anyway im halfway finished with this thing and to my surprise I read your not supposed to use pine shaving or any pine products in a tarantula setup,..... Im actually just using an old aquarium, The pine is just a decorative facing on the outside of the enclosure, around the glass corners ect, the lids made from plexi, and the pine on the outside will be stained ebony with classic black polyurethane, strictly decorative, so the tarantula wont come into any contact with the pine, just glass and plastic Should I scrap the enclosure and figure something else out or keep going... Like I said, It wont actually come in contact with the pine.
