Afternoon, everyone

Found this place quite a while back, but I've been lurking for the most part. Finding a lot of information and interesting discussions, which are wonderful to read through. I typically go by the name Vasiliki on forums, but you can call me Danielle

Got into the hobby a short time back. Around September last year. Been a big fan of reptiles since I was a kid, but was always told I needed to: "Wait until you have your own place, then you can do whatever you want." Well, that was partially true. My ex did not like reptiles either. But times change, life goes on and I now find myself able to fulfill some of my childhood dreams of pet ownership.

Got myself interested in crested geckos after one literally jumped into my hands at a reptile expo. It was love at first squishy-gecko-hop. Went home, got myself set up and picked up a young crestie about a month later. Gorgeous little 'plain' buckskin that is now turning into such a nice Dalmation.

A few months later, got myself a leopard gecko. A local breeder was selling a male RAPTOR. I hmm'd and after he didn't sell, I decided I was going to grab the goober.

Then I picked up a Gargoyle gecko, followed by temporarily housing a Tokay that was in dire need of a helping hand.

On Monday, I pick up my first snake. Snakes were my dream in all of this. Geckos are great, but snakes... That's what I fell in love with all those years ago. So I'm getting my dream pet soon. Exactly what I'd always hoped for. (Okay, I will probably cry a bit when she arrives... Shh.) Lovely Butter het. Motley female, adult and a gorgeous lighter pattern.

I can hardly wait. In a few months, I'm hopefully picking up a King snake too (I have him on hold at the moment, but the breeder is holding him over for a bit until he's eating better, which I'm more than happy to wait). Later this year, once the BPs start hatching out, I'll see about adding an Albino or Pied. Since I'm keeping my collection small, and not breeding, I'm more than happy to spend a bit more and get a visual animal I can enjoy, as well as personality.

One day, I will get a Woma too. One day....
