to robin: I have never had another escape, and i would never let them escape repeatedly. That's so irresponsible i don't have words for it. You're supposed to protect your pets and take care of them the best you can, not do things like let them wander around on purpose. anyway, back to the OP. THe snake is probably in an appliance. The best thing you can do is to unscrew the screws on the dryer or washer and lift off the top or the front panel. We just did this the other day to our dryer to clean it out. There is a LOT of space around in there for a snake to hide and access. think of the last place you think the snake would go and that is probably where it's hiding *lol*
