I bet he could handle it. If hes able to handle the snake that well and not drop it lol, he could definetly dangle a rat in front of them. You could get him a pair of hemostats too, they make lighter plastic ones...

Lol o I'm sure physically he could handle it. I just don't know how well a three year old will be at watching a mouse get eaten.
