    New Blue Tongue Need Help!

Our reptile shops here in the UK are often pretty useless but Id wanted a BTS for a long time and laying my hands on one was a problem, so I was delighted to come across one a few days ago, and promptly bought him!

Ive kept reptiles for years now, beardies and geckos turtles etc, so got my viv all set up nice temps and substrate for burying etc, plopped him in and left him alone for a day or so.

He comes to the glass alot and when i open it he wanders about and hisses when i stop him falling off the bed or something which i understand they like to huff, after some time hed calm down and just sit with me or curl up under my jumper it was rather sweet.

He hasnt eaten in a few days and again i understand this is normal when getting used to a new home.

Today however he clambered out of his viv onto the bed as i left it open a crack for him to gather courage and explore, hoping that if he came to me he might be less huffy, sure enough he came out and plopped down next to me and seemed content while i read a book, then before i knew what was happening hed clamped his moth on my forearm and was giving me a nasty nip! It seemed like a kind of test bite it wasnt very hard but it did leave a mark and has swollen a little. He let go eventually and went to explore the other end of the bed, upon returning he bit my other arm!!

Is biting without provoking normal? Do I have a Vindictive BTS?? Why not eat but then take a chunk out of me when he wasnt acting agressive??

Im worried I might have the subspeciese of BTS thats very agressive now, but the pet shop has no clue what type he is they just called it a BTS. . .

Hes cream coloured underneath, dark brown on top with darker stripes, and 15inches long.

    Any help greatly appreciated!!
