So I just found out that the first snake I ever got is a female. Normal of course.
I want to get into breeding, and as some of you guys might know, I purchased a bunch of females that I plan on breeding, but they're all babies right now. I like buying babies instead of adults. It's cheaper and I get to see a glimpse of what my offspring could look like
.
My question is, what would you breed to this normal? My current baby females are Calico, Enchi, Killerbee, and Pastel het clown. I really dig enchis and I think there's still so much to be done with both enchis AND calicos... Whatever the male will be, I'm hoping to get either a double co-dom male, or a male of either enchi or calico to hopefully produce more females (since you can never have too many)
What do you guys think? What would you do? Do you have a better idea?
Thanks =].
EDIT: I forgot to mention o_O.. She's only 1300 grams, but she's an 08. I know some of you guys have older females that are around the same weight, but her small size is my fault. She wouldn't eat for so long when I first got her and I had no idea why... Then I found this forum and discovered that her 40 gallon fishtank wasn't the best idea... Then I found out she had retained eye caps (which the forum helped me discover)... Then I was feeding her prey items that just weren't big enough.. Hoppers for a long time... Then finally adult mice for a longer time... So I made a ton of mistakes before finally getting her on track eating small/medium rats once every 7 days, and she's my favorite feeder
