He will not be as good as he was pre-surgery. Look at brady, hes certainly not as good. The smartest thing manning could have done was just retire.

Why would he retire...compare Brady's and Manning's careers(minus Super Bowl wins) and Manning is clearly a good step ahead. He's the smartest and most fundamentally efficient quarterback in the league by a long shot. If he plays his cards right and signs with the team that suits his needs best, he has a good 4 years left in him.
