This is my first ever clutch of ball python eggs. Its been 3 yrs in the making but this lady didn't want to go for me years prior, despite being well old enough and large enough. Back when they were still follicles I palpated 5 but as they became eggs I could at least feel 8, She was due today and laid right on the money with 9 good eggs.
Was pretty much a Dinker x Dinker clutch.
I caught her like that yesterday.
and like this today
The clutch weighs 908g, just about 100g an egg and set her weight back to 1800gs now, she s got a fair bit of chowing down to do if she wants to get back to the 2500g she was before she ovulated.
I am sooo grateful for the clear door in the incubator, my curiousity will be easily sated without me having to open it. I have the eggs on substrate-less incubation, but no lid cause I can easily keep the humidity at 99% in the entire thing. I'm thinking of incubating them at a lower temp between 86-88, I really don't want to come to 90 cause that leave no room for a possible upward temp flux. lol and please don't mind the junk all over the bator.
