ok, brief preface. I have bred boa's and bp's in the past got. ex wife hated snakes so i sacrificed, turns out i got rid of the wrong animal(s)
got back into reptiles after a 4 yr break.
I have 5 snakes 2 boas 3 ball pythons knowing full well my collection will grow.
so i rescued a het albino female (225 grams) ball python recently. i was told she hasnt eaten in about 4 months
she was born 2 months before the het carmel albino female (850 Grams) that I picked up as well from the same owner.
I bought the het carmel and the seller gave me the other..
both snakes are 2010's
ok so i attempted to feed her a few times with no luck. finally i assist fed. she ate.. in the process i noticed a glue like substance almost sticking her jaw together is this a sign of RI or is this something all together different?
there is no bubbling, or discharge outside her mouth/nose, nor labored breathing. since she hasnt been eating there are no stool samples to have checked either
(i have only delt with RI one time in the past and it was a very mild case cleared up within a month with vet meds )
any input would be helpful
thanks in advance
Rob
