    OMG! Butternut squash!

So my Irwin has always been what I'd consider a picky eater. He'll usually only eat a little bit of his salad and lets the rest go to waste. I've been giving him a combination of collard, mustard and turnip greens.

Well...I discovered this site: http://www.beautifuldragons.com/Nutrition.html and thought I'd give him some more options. So I went out and bought a variety of beans...yeah...no go.

So LAST night I go out to Walmart and found already chopped turnip greens (yay!) as well as a mixed slaw of shredded broccoli, red cabbage and carrot. I also found a bag of cubed butternut squash.

When I made his salad this morning with all his new stuff, I took it into him and he wandered over to check it out. He did the classic beardie head tilt and tried one of the pieces of butternut squash.

Oh. My. God. I have never seen him eat with so much gusto! Then he actually rooted through the salad to find more! He did eat some of the other stuff too, so that was good.

I am such a happy beardie momma today!!
