About a week ago, I took my normal 4 year old BP out for some snuggles. I looked at his vent and saw that it was crusty with poop, and seemingly inflamed. I immediately took him to the vet.

They flushed out his cloaca and gave him a dewormer, and told me to keep an eye on it.

It seems to be getting a little better, but not as quickly as I'd hoped. There's not as much poop buildup. Let me know what you think?

A little backstory: About 3 days before I discovered his yucky cloaca, I noticed that he had trailed urates all over his tank.

His temps have been good, he has access to water. He's off-feed for the winter, but I'm going to try offering him a rat soon.
