    Consumer Alert: HSUS

    Stolen from Mark Pollard:

Please consider filing a complaint with the FCC against the HSUS for deceptive advertising practices. Instead of being in a defensive position, let's go on the offense against HSUS and their anti-reptile legislation agenda! Let's use our contacts and social media to get as many complaints logged with the FCC as we can! We need to be lobbying the FCC and the IRS with all our collective might. By stopping the decpetive advertising and attacking the non-profit status of the HSUS, we can severely impact their revenue stream and make it harder for them to fund their attacks on people who choose to own animals or use animal products.

I hope posting this isn't in violation of any KS TOS, but it's good information for those of us that are seriously fighting a common enemy. The HSUS has SPECIFICALLY targeted reptiles as "not suitable as companion animals", and we're not just talking the big or hot stuff, the've identified ALL reptiles as unsuitable pets. I'll post more about that seperately...

Here’s how you can help: Contact the Federal Trade Commission and file a complaint about HSUS's misleading fundraising. You can do this in just a few, quick steps:

    1. Go to the FTC’s Complaint Assistant and fill out your personal information.

    FCC Complaint Wizard Link

    https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.go...d.aspx?Lang=en

    2. Under Step 1, when it asks you “What kind of company are you complaining about?,” check “Other” and write in “Deceptive 501(c)(3).”

    3. When you offer details about your complaint, if you’ve given money to HSUS and believe that you were deceived by its ads, be sure to say so.

    4. Let us know when you’ve filed a complaint (email info@HumaneWatch.org).

Also, see the new anti-HSUS TV advertisement and read more at Humanewatch.org

    Thanks,
