Figured I would share my morning.
Woke up this morning & checked on all my bp's & my female Mojave was gone... Of course it had to be my 5yr old daughter's favorite snake. I heard this weird popping noise last night about midnight, I went in & looked & just saw my big normal exploring so didn't think any more about it. I am assuming that popping sound was the mojave escaping out the back. Only way I can see her getting out is the tub not being centered in the rack & her having just enough space to stick her nose though. She's about 700 grams so I figured no way could she get out of a small opening of about 1/4" so I never even thought about re-enforcing it..
I finally found her after tearing apart the house for 5hrs. Somehow she found her way into my computer desk & was chilling in a box of computer fans.
I am just glad I found her! She was cold & scared, she struck at me a few times & she has never struck since I have had her. But hopefully nothing worse.
First thing after I found her was go to the hardware store & get some wood to cover the back.
Lesson of the day, never assume!
