This is my 3rd and final thread relating a few of the surprises I encountered with my clutches this year. Of course I saved the best for last, but it's only fitting because it was my last clutch.
I bred my Pinstripe male to my Albino female to eventually reach my goal of getting an Albino Pinstripe in two or three years. Much to my surprise, I found this little guy pipping out of the egg:
Apparently my pinstripe was also het. albino. Funny enough, it was also the only pinstripe in the small clutch of five eggs.
I wanted to do this little three part series to outline the ups and downs of breeding and hopefully give future breeders an idea of what they can expect. Sometimes you don't hit the odds you want, sometimes you have to deal with medical emergencies, and sometimes you get surprises that you would never expect. That's what makes this hobby so fun, exciting and interesting... at least for me.![]()
