My snake rack is right by my apartment door so I keep a small flash light on top for when I take my dog out at night. Well instead of bothering to turn on the lights to check on my snakes I used the flash light. It took about 2 seconds before my large normal female snapped at it. She didn't get anywhere because she hit the tub wall but did she think it was food or do you think it was a defensive strike? She's a pig and will eat anything so I can see her thinking it was food. She's taken 2 medium rats on the same day for me before because my other large normal refused and she was still looking for more afterwards.
