As a follow up to my Rat Pup thread, I decided to offer my little guy a rat pup for the first time - He struck at it and began positioning himself perfectly, I was so excited! But then, out of no where, he stopped, completely released the rat-pup and began nosing and pushing against the thawed pup like he had forgotten where the head was. He didn't give up trying to eat it at all, he just couldn't seem to figure out the head - I've never heard of anything like this before. I'm not quite sure what to make of it - Does that mean the pup is too large for him? Thawed and positioned, he's no where near as thick as his widest part and he actively attempted to eat it, he just couldn't seem to maneuver it correctly. D: What should I do?
