But still happy!

I went to a local annual reptile show, mainly just to look around, but my girlfriend knew better.

Anywho, there was some kid (by reference I mean some twenty something year old guy/someone my age) who walked in with a 5-6ft Columbian and traded it to a guy at a table because he was scared of it. Apparently he was so intimidated by it that while he had it, he didn't handle it, feed it, or anything. Also he told the guy that it was aggressive. Well the man at the booth felt bad for the kid, and traded a cornsnake to him, though he didn't really want the red tail.

When I walked up and asked about it (mainly from curiousity), he told me the story, and also said that he'd sell it to me basically to cover the trade, which was $40. He didn't want her, but I sure did. I've never touched a boa before, let alone a decent sized one, but I opened the container, and picked it right up, and there wasn't any defensive reactions. Just a sweet ol girl(?).

The sad part is that myu girlfriend said that I didn't have enough space right now to get her, though I have the guys number, and I'm still trying to convince her.

However!

I did convince her to let me at least pick up a little one! I found a herp society friend that let me get a male pastel het albino for $60. So for now, I have a young one, but I fell in love with that other girl.

I'll try to get some pics up soon!
