I really just love the fact that the variety of women shown here who own snakes totally blows the 'only weird people have snakes' misconception out of the water.

I love it when people look at me and say... "You have tattoos? And piercings?! AND SNAKES?!?!"

Way to go ladies!

I know, huh? I'm a librarian, of all things... so I've endured plenty of jokes about that, especially when I'm wearing the glasses and my hair in a bun. But then I defy all stereotypes with my (over a dozen) tats, piercings & snakes! Some of us are just walking contradictions, I suppose.

Funny (kinda related) story - my boss asked if I could work extra hours this week, and I guess my face reacted negatively. She looked at me, and said "I know you just had babies, but we have to get this report done!" Anyone who doesn't know me would have found that to be a VERY weird comment, hehe.
