    Funny Feeding Story

I've been meaning to share this for 2 days now. So Monday was feeding day for the babies. My female het pied is 2 months old now and gets 2 mouse hoppers per feeding.

So the first mouse go in and I close the tub. I hear a strike but I still see the mouse running around. After 5 minutes I still see the mouse and open the door to see what's going on. So what happened was she missed the mouse and got a mouth full of aspen. So big a mouth full that she though it was the mouse and was constricting the aspen. I literally LOLed and almost fell on the floor. So I tapped her a little and she realized she didn't have the mouse. So she started get the aspen out of her mouth and a few minutes later she made the proper strike and that one was over.

    But it doesn't end there...

After the first one is done and it's clear she's ready for the other, I put the 2nd one in. Before I can close the tub she strikes it and starts to constrict. But she constricted so fast that she squeezed the mouse out and it popped 2 feet in the air and landed on the floor and ran behind the rack. My wife had to chase it to me with tongs. I finally got it and put it back in. So now of course the mouse is all hyper and moving around like crazy trying to get out. She misses hitting the thing 5 times before finally hitting again and finishing the deal.

I hope this has amused you in some way.
