I have decided to name him Vicious, because he's so laid back and tame. Kind of like naming a snake Fluffy. Also the name worked for either gender. I felt the bump on one side but not the other. Not in the middle, just one side.

the problem with sand boas is that the yonger they are the more they look similiar. from the pics i will stick with male. my females have always had really stubby tails from vent to tip. males are always longer from vent to tail but not always super long. some are VERY noticeably male others have to ponder a little. try and take a photo of your snake from vent to tip in your hand for size comparison. better pics would definetly help.

I will get out my fancy camera tonight and get my husband in on helping me get some more pics. I will try to edit some pics to show specifically where the vent is too. May also attempt to weigh him too.
